New hardship scheme to launch at Tyne Tunnels
A new service is set to launch in April which will provide free debt management advice and support for those experiencing financial hardship, should they receive an Unpaid Toll Charge Notice (UTCN).
Tyne Tunnel toll increase for LGVs from April
The North East JTC, which owns the Tyne Tunnels, confirmed at its meeting in January 2022 that the new toll will increase from £3.70 to £3.90. Permit holders will still receive a 10% discount on their journey, making the new toll for account holders £3.51, up from £3.33.
