At Transport North East our role is to develop future transport plans and secure the investment to deliver them.

For passengers and freight, Transport North East oversees strategic transport planning at a regional level on behalf of the North East Joint Transport Committee, representing the seven local authorities in our region; and always striving to make our vision evermore real: “Moving to a green, healthy, dynamic and thriving North East”. Who are we?

Transport North East works to deliver game-changing transport schemes and initiatives. Our goal is to greatly improve the lives of everyone living or working in our region.
