Transport North East has a lawful basis under Articles 6(1)(e) and 9(2)(g) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – we need you to provide some personal information, and in some cases some special category information, to us in order to exercise our official authority, and to carry out a task in the public interest i.e. to carry out this survey.
We will not normally need your name or contact details unless you contact our Customer Service Centre requesting a call-back regarding the survey. All information will be retained securely and will not be retained longer than we need to, after which records will be either fully anonymised or securely destroyed.
